Volkswagen Tayron 7-Seater SUV Teased Ahead of India Launch
Volkswagen has officially launched the first teaser for the upcoming Tayron, which is a seven-seater SUV, ahead of its India Launch later this year. The Volkswagen Tayron fills the void previously left by the Tiguan AllSpace, as well as will be positioned above the Tiguan R-Line that is on sale in the country. The teaser video shared at the automaker’s social media handles showcases the silhouette of the upcoming model as well as its LED lighting.

What to expect?
The Volkswagen Tayron teaser shows off the full-width LED lights at the front as well as rear, which include the illuminated VW logo. The model also appears to be identical to the global-spec version, but can see subtle differences for the Indian market, like as 19-inch alloy wheels instead of 17-inch units seen at the global model.

Volkswagen Tayron is identical to the Tiguan in design, but it is substantially larger in comparison, which allows for a more commanding road presence. The Tayron is 220mm longer, with the wheelbas,e which is also longer, and that makes way for a third row. It also gets the bigger boot with the capacity of 850 litres, has been opposed to 652 litres on the Tiguan.
Engine

The Volkswagen Tayron will draw power from the 2.0-litre TSI engine with the Tiguan R-Line. It produces 201 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque, which gets easily paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The SUV will also come with all-wheel drive.
The upcoming Tayron is expected to be locally assembled in India at the Volkswagen Group’s Aurangabad facility, which should help keep prices competitive over the Tigua R-Line, which arrives as a full import. We can expect SUV to be priced between Rs. 45-50 lakh (ex-showroom), taking at the full-size SUVs like as Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and new-gen Skoda Kodiaq.
