KTM RC 160 launched in India at Rs. 1.85 Lakh
A couple of months after introducing the 160 Duke in India, KTM has now launched the RC 160 in India at a price of Rs. 1.85 Lakh. The new model slots in below the RC 200 and RC 390, becoming the entry point in the brand’s supersport line-up in our market.

What’s all new in the KTM RC 160?
The KTM RC 160 shares the 164.2 cc liquid-cooled engine with the 160 Duke that produces an identical 19 hp at 9,5000 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist-and-slipper clutch, and KTM mentions the bike has a top speed of 118 kph.
The suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm USD fork as well as a monoshock. The bike shares the 110-section front and 140-section rear tyres at the 17-inch wheels with the 160 Duke, and braking hardware, like 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc, has been carried over. The RC 160 also features the dual-channel ABS with the supermoto mode.
The KTM RC 160 gets all-LED lighting, including a headlamp, tail-lamp, indicators, and an LCD instrument cluster. The 160 Duke has been recently updated with the TFT screen, but that has not been announced as a choice for the RC yet. KTM is also yet to reveal the kerb weight for the RC, but given the additional extensive bodywork, it is expected to weigh a few kilograms more than the kerb weight of the Duke’s 147 kg.
At Rs. 1.85 lakh, the KTM RC 160 is Rs. 15,000 more expensive than the 160 Duk,e as well as nearly Rs. 19,000 more expensive than the Yamaha R15 which is of Rs. 1.66 lakh, its most direct rival.
