Six All-New BMW Cars Coming to India This Year
BMW is all set to launch the six all-new models in India in 2026 this year, consisting electric vehicles like iX facelift and i5 LWB, which is alongside new generations or facelifts for the popular models like M5, 2 Series Gran Coupe, X1, and potentially other significant updates, focuses heavily on the electrification and next-gen tech as part of the global Neue Klasse strategy, with the specific models like iX3 slated for early 2027.

Expected Launches in 2026
BMW iX Facelift

The BMW iX in India primarily comes in the xDrive50 variant, with the ex-showroom price starting from around Rs. 1.40 crore (INR 14 million), leading to the on-road price of roughly Rs. 1.47 crore in major cities like Delhi, though prices vary by location as well as specific options. There is also a more accessible iX xDrive40 model, with the price starting lower, for example, Rs. 1.21 crore.
BMW i5 LWB

The BMW i5 LWB is an upcoming electric sedan in India, expected in early 2026, and this offers enhanced rear-seat comfort with the longer body, based on the China-spec i5, and has been set for locally assembly in Chennai to offer a competitive price. This features a 97kWh battery, around 340 horsepower, and is tailored for Indian roads with the higher ground clearance.
BMW M5

The BMW M5 in India start from a price of around Rs. 2.01 Crore, with the variations like M5 competition priced similarly, but the on-road prices differ by city, with respect to the taxes reaching upwards of Rs. 2.37 Cr in Pune and Rs. 2.47 Cr in Hyderabad.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is the sporty, compact luxury sedan knwon for the stylish coupe-like design with the frameless doors, modern digital cockpit, and engaging driving dynamics, often features the M Sport enhnacements as well as advanced tech like iDrive system and driver assistance features, offers the premium entry into the BMW’s lineup with the focus at agility and connectivity, though the recent models have watched engine tweaks for the efiiciency alongside sportiness.
BMW X1

The BMW X1 is priced in India, starting at around Rs. 50.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base sDrive18i M Sport Petrol model, with the top diesel sDrive18d M Sport variant costing up to Rs. 52.20 Lakh, varying by city and dealer, including taxes and registration ranges from approx. Rs. 58.6 lakh.
