Kia Carens Clavis Introduces New HTE (EX) Variant with Added Features

A new HTE trim got added to the Kia Carens Clavis lineup, with the price ranges in between Rs. 12.55 lakh and Rs. 14.53 lakh. This democratises some convenience features in the MPV’s lineup. This is available with only a manual transmission.

What’s new in this?

Sitting above the HTE (O), the Kia Carens Clavis (EX) brings the single-pane sunroof. This feature was offered from the HTK+ (O), effectively lowering the entry point for the sunroof by over Rs. 3 lakh. This also introduces the sunroof to the turbo-petrol Carens Clavis, as it was previously available with the panoramic sunroof in higher trims.

Along with this, the new HTE (EX) trim also comes with the automatic climate control, one-touch up/down for the driver-side window, LED DRLs, and LED lamps in the cabin. This trim is available with the 7 seats and the same beige and black cabin themes as lower trims.

Other Features

The New HTE (EX) trom build at the lower-spec HTE (O) trim, adding an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, powered ORVMs with turn indicators, a rear parking sound system, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. This also gains rear window sunshades as well as a tilt-adjustable steering wheel with the audio controls.
