Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Interior Reveals Bigger Touchscreen, Premium Features

Spy Shots: Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Interior Reveals Bigger Touchscreen, Premium Features

The next-generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted in spy photos. It is expected to debut by late 2026 or early 2027. This new model will be called the third-generation Creta, with the internal code name SX3. The biggest changes are inside the cabin, where Hyundai is adding premium technology and making the cabin more spacious. The new Creta will move to the K3 platform, which is the same platform used by the Kia Seltos. This platform has a longer wheelbase of about 2.7 metres, which means significantly improved rear legroom for passengers.

The most striking update inside is a massive tablet-style touchscreen. This screen could be as large as 14.6 inches, which is even bigger than the current dual-screen setup. The new system is called Pleos Connect, which is a software-defined architecture. This means the car’s software controls everything, including the infotainment system, vehicle settings, and an AI-powered voice assistant. Most physical controls are moving to the screen. Even the gear selector has been relocated from the centre console to a stalk on the steering column. This is called shift-by-wire, and it frees up space on the centre console for storage. In top-spec variants, you can expect twin 12.3-inch displays, creating a seamless digital cockpit. More affordable base trims may get a smaller 10.25-inch screen.

A new feature called “Boss Mode” is also being added. This allows rear passengers to electrically adjust the front passenger seat forward, giving them extra legroom. This is a premium feature usually found in much more expensive cars. The new Creta will also get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and advanced over-the-air updates, which allow the car’s software to be updated wirelessly without visiting a dealership.

Under the bonnet, the next-gen Creta is likely to keep the current 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. But the big news is the addition of a strong hybrid powertrain, which is expected to deliver fuel efficiency of over 25 kilometres per litre. This would make the Creta much more fuel-efficient and a strong competitor to the Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara hybrids. The car will also come with advanced Level 2 ADAS, standard six airbags, and will target a 5-star safety rating. The wheels will be new 19-inch dual-tone alloys, giving the SUV a more dominant stance.

If you are thinking of waiting for the next-generation Hyundai Creta, you should do so if you want the latest technology with a massive touchscreen and AI voice assistant, if you need more rear legroom for your family, if you want a strong hybrid version for over 25 kilometres per litre, and if you are willing to wait until late 2026 or early 2027. You should also wait if you want features like “Boss Mode” for rear passengers and advanced over-the-air updates.

You should buy the current Hyundai Creta now if you need a car immediately, if you want to save money with discounts on the outgoing model, if you do not need a hybrid powertrain, or if you are okay with the current interior design and feature set.
