Ather 450X gets infinite cruise via OTA update
Ather Energy has rolled out the Infinite Cruise feature for the Ather 450X, which is available through the over-the-air (OTA) software update. The feature will be available as the standard, as well as riders will get notified about the update at the dashboard of the scooter.

The company had also confirmed that Infinite Cruise will also be rolled out to over 44,000 existing Ather 450X owners who bought the scooters from 1 January 2025.

Infinite Cruise was first introduced on the Ather Apex 450 in August 2025 in August as well as now been extended to the 450X. Unlike the conventional Cruise control systems, which have been designed mainly for highway riding, infinite cruise is meant for urban conditions. This works at speeds between 10kmph and 90kmph.
Once it is activated, the system stays engaged even when the rider brakes or accelerates. Instead of switching off, this recalibrates to the new speed automatically, unlike the conventional cruise control, which demands you to reactivate it after you brake or accelerate.
The feature combines several functions, which consist of CityCruise that adapts to varying traffic speeds, Hill control, which maintains a steady pace at slopes, uses regenerative braking, and crawl control for stable low-speed riding on rough surfaces.
These functions work alongside the scooter’s traction control system for maintaining grip on slippery roads. The prices of the Ather 450X start from Rs. 1,47,998 (ex-showroom).
