BMW X6 M60i pre-launch bookings open in India
BMW India has officially opened pre-launch bookings for the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive. This high-performance coupe-SUV is making its comeback to the Indian market after a three-year hiatus. It was discontinued in January 2023. Interested buyers can secure their units through any authorised BMW dealership or by registering their interest on the official BMW India website. The vehicle will be imported to India as a Completely Built-Up Unit in limited numbers. While official pricing will be announced at launch in the coming weeks, it is expected to be priced between ₹1.40 crore and ₹1.55 crore, ex-showroom. If you want a very fast, luxurious, and stylish coupe-SUV, the X6 M60i is back.

The X6 M60i is equipped with a S68 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine delivers 523 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Power is routed through an 8-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. It clocks 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. It comes standard with rear-wheel steering, M Sport brakes, and an electronically controlled rear differential. These features give the car incredible handling and agility despite its size.
The X6 retains its iconic sloping roofline with a muscular stance. The front features a gloss-black illuminated kidney grille, slimmer adaptive LED headlamps with “snake-eye” daytime running lights, and aggressive air intakes. It is outfitted with massive 21-inch alloy wheels paired with distinctive red brake calipers. The rear features wraparound connected LED tail lamps and a gloss-black bumper with quad exhaust outlets. The design is aggressive and sporty.

The cabin is luxurious and high-tech. It features the BMW Curved Display, which houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment hub. It includes heated and ventilated front memory seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a powered tailgate. It is fully equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems suite and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Upon its official launch, the imported CBU coupe-SUV will go head-to-head with other premium high-performance models in India, including the Audi SQ8, the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, and the Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
If you are thinking of buying the BMW X6 M60i, you should do so if you want a very fast, luxurious, and stylish coupe-SUV. You want the prestige of the BMW badge. You want a 523 horsepower V8 engine that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. You want the unique styling of the coupe-SUV with the sloping roofline. You have a very high budget of ₹1.4 to ₹1.55 crore. You are okay with the fact that it is a CBU import, which may mean longer waiting times for parts.

You should consider the Audi SQ8 if you want a similarly powerful V8 SUV with a more traditional SUV shape. You should consider the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe if you want a rival coupe-SUV with a different design. You should consider the Porsche Cayenne Coupe if you want an even more driver-focused coupe-SUV. But if you want the ultimate driving machine with a V8 and a striking design, the X6 M60i is an excellent choice.
