Jeep to Launch New SUV in India in 2027
Jeep India has announced the new 2.0 strategy, which intends to enhance the lineup, meet the consumer needs and improve the ownership experience. As part of the roadmap, called Strategic Plan Jeep 2.0, the brand will bring the all-new SUV in 2027, the first all-new model in five years, and in the meantime, it will launch special editions of the current range.

Under the new strategy, Jeep also confirms exporting the India-made models from the Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra for markets in African and North American areas, in addition to Japan, Australia and New Zealand. India is the first country outside of North America where SUV maker manufacturers and exports to other right-hand drive markets.
To keep the costs in check, the brand is even targeting to increase the localisation to 90 per cent from 65-70 per cent now. With this, the carmaker is looking to enhance the after-sales and ownership experience through the pre-maintenance, extended warranty, as well as premium owner loyalty and customer care programmes. Now, Jeep sells the Compass as well as its three-row counterpart, Meridian and Wrangler off-roader and flagship Grand Cherokee.
Speaking about the Jeep’s plans, Stellantis India’s CEO and MD, Shailesh Hazela, said, Jeep’s 85-year legacy is built on authenticity and adventure. The strategic plan Jeep 2.0 lays out how we will sharpen our product strategy and strengthen the customer experience year after year, driven by the deeper localisation, global product alignment expands vehicle offerings and programmes that deliver real value.
