Next-Gen Triumph Tiger 1200 Spotted on Test Runs

The Tiger 1200 was launched in India in 2022 with the all-new styling as well as a major overhaul to the mechanicals. This was updated in 2024. The test mule of what is likely an updated Tiger 1200 Rally has been spotted off-roading.

For starters, the Tiger 1200 dons styling similar to that of the Tiger 900 spotted earlier. It will get the updated front fascia with the mono-projector headlight and beak that flows more seamlessly into the fuel tank. The new change, which should bring a host of added functions, is the presence of a radar sensor right above the headlight.

While the current model features the rear-radar system for the blind-spot assistance and lane-charging warning, the updated model is expected to have forward-facing radar, which should introduce adaptive cruise control, similar to Ducati Multistrada V4. Another change is at the rear, where the current model gets the tail-light similar to the Tiger 900. The updated model moves to the split taillight setup, with the brake lights integrating the indicators. The small change is a redesigned exhaust end-can.

The Tiger 1200 seems to be more like a nip-and-tuck job for keeping it fresh rather than the full-blown generational update. We expect the changes to centre around the radar-guided functions, which should bring a host of active and passive safety features. This upcoming model is expected to be unveiled later thi year.
