Norton Manx R price & variants revealed in the UK

The Norton Manx R superbike has been revealed with full production specifications and pricing for the UK market. The price starts at £20,250, which is about ₹21.5 lakh in Indian rupees. The superbike is offered in four distinct variants, each progressively adding higher-tier hardware like semi-active suspension and carbon fibre components. Norton has already patented the Manx R design in India, which means the bike could launch in India later this year.

All variants of the Manx R are powered by the same engine. It is a 1,200cc 72-degree V4 engine that delivers 206 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. A V4 engine has four cylinders arranged in a V shape, which gives very smooth power delivery and a screaming sound at high revs. The bike has an aluminium monocoque frame, which means the frame itself acts as the engine’s housing. This saves weight and makes the bike stiffer. It also has a single-sided swingarm, which looks very cool and makes it easier to remove the rear wheel for tyre changes.

The Manx R is designed as a “road-first” superbike. This means it is meant to be ridden on normal roads, not just on race tracks. Norton has focused on making the engine torquey at low revs. 77 percent of the peak torque is available from just 5,000 rpm. This makes the bike much easier to ride in traffic and on twisty roads compared to other superbikes that only make power at very high revs.

The bike is packed with technology. It has an 8-inch TFT touchscreen display, which is very large for a motorcycle. It has a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, which is a sensor that tells the bike’s computer exactly what the bike is doing in terms of lean angle, acceleration, and braking. This enables cornering ABS, which lets you brake safely while leaning over in a turn. It also has traction control to stop the rear wheel from spinning, slide control to let you drift the bike safely, and multiple riding modes.

The braking hardware is top-quality. All variants come with high-performance Brembo Hypure 4-piston calipers and 330mm front discs. Brembo is the best brand in motorcycle brakes.

The four variants differ mainly in weight and high-end parts. The Base variant costs £20,250. It has manually adjustable Marzocchi suspension, cast aluminium wheels, and includes a pillion seat for a passenger. It weighs 210 kg. The Apex variant costs £24,750. It gets semi-active electronically adjustable Marzocchi suspension, which means the suspension automatically adjusts to the road conditions. It also gets forged aluminium wheels, which are lighter and stronger than cast wheels.

The Signature variant costs £38,750. It gets carbon fibre bodywork, which is very light and strong, and Rotobox Bullet Pro carbon fibre wheels. It also has a special start-up sequence on the dash. The weight drops to 203 kg. The top-of-the-line First Edition variant is limited to just 150 units. The price is available only on request. It gets titanium fixings, billet aluminium components, and a unique paint job. The weight drops further to just 201 kg.

Deliveries in the UK are expected to begin next month. Norton has already patented the Manx R design in India, which means the bike could launch in India later this year. However, Norton may launch its adventure bikes first, with the Manx R coming towards the end of 2026.

If you are thinking of buying the Norton Manx R in India, you should do so if you want a British superbike with a powerful V4 engine and a lightweight aluminium frame, if you want a “road-first” superbike that is easier to ride on normal roads than pure track bikes, if you want top-quality components like Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, and if you have a very high budget.

Norton is a niche brand with a lot of heritage, and owning one will be very exclusive. However, you should buy it only if you are willing to wait for the India launch, which may be towards the end of 2026. You should also be okay with the fact that Norton’s service network in India is very small compared to brands like Ducati or BMW.

You should consider other superbikes now if you need a bike immediately. Alternatives include the Ducati Panigale V4, the BMW S1000RR, and the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. These are all available in India now with established service networks.
