Oben Rorr Evo launches at Rs. 99.999

Oben Rorr Evo at an introductory price of ₹99,999 for the first 10,000 customers. This price is ex-showroom Delhi. This electric motorcycle is Oben’s new flagship model. It is built on the company’s own ARX platform and is positioned as a high-performance bike for city commuting. Once the introductory offer ends for the first 10,000 buyers, the price will increase to ₹1,24,999.

The Rorr Evo has significant performance upgrades over its older versions. The claimed top speed is 110 kilometres per hour. The bike can go from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour in just 3 seconds, which makes it very quick off the line for city traffic. The motor is a new 9 kW IPMSM unit that delivers a massive 250 Nm of wheel torque. This torque figure is very high, which means the bike pulls strongly when you twist the throttle.

The motorcycle has four riding modes. There is Eco mode for maximum range, City mode for everyday riding, Havoc mode for full performance, and a new Smart IQ mode. The Smart IQ mode is clever because it can boost the range by up to 15 percent by managing power delivery more efficiently. The bike uses a 3.4 kWh LFP battery, which stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate. This type of battery is known for being very safe and long-lasting. The certified IDC range is 180 kilometres, and the claimed real-world range is about 150 kilometres. In real city riding, you can expect around 130 to 140 kilometres on a full charge.

The Rorr Evo uses advanced LFP battery cells, which have high heat resistance and durability. This is important in hot Indian summers. The bike can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 1.5 hours, which is 90 minutes, using the Oben charging port. Oben provides a standard 8-year or 80,000-kilometre battery warranty. This is a very long warranty and shows that the company trusts its LFP battery technology. The battery is also IP67-rated, which means it is protected against dust and can be submerged in water for short periods without damage. It also has proprietary MHX heat management technology to keep the battery cool.

The design of the Rorr Evo is more aggressive than older models. It has what you would call a streetfighter aesthetic, which means it looks mean and sporty. The bike gets a new LED projector headlamp, redesigned muscular tank shrouds, and a sharper tail section. It is available in four colours: Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black, and Photon White. For practicality, the motorcycle has a total of 10 litres of storage space. This is a combination of under-seat storage and tank pod storage. There are also dual USB charging ports to keep your phone charged while you ride. The seat height has been lowered to 780 millimetres from 810 millimetres, which makes it easier for shorter riders to put their feet flat on the ground. The seat is also 680 millimetres long, which is very generous and should be comfortable for both rider and pillion. The bike features a 5-inch TFT display that gives you turn-by-turn navigation, smartphone connectivity, call and music alerts, and theft protection through the Oben mobile app.

Compared to the standard Oben Rorr, the Evo is more affordable at the introductory price, but it also offers a higher top speed and updated motor technology. The Evo also shifts from a belt drive to a more efficient chain drive system. Chain drives are more common on performance motorcycles because they transfer power more efficiently.

If you are thinking of buying the Oben Rorr Evo, you should do so if you are among the first 10,000 customers to get the special introductory price of just ₹99,999. You should also consider it if you want a high-performance electric motorcycle with a top speed of 110 km/h and very quick acceleration from 0 to 40 in 3 seconds. The long 8-year battery warranty is a big plus, and the 10 litres of storage and dual USB ports make it practical for daily use. The 780 mm seat height is accessible for most riders. However, you should buy it only if you have access to charging at home or work, if you are okay with a real-world range of about 150 kilometres, and if you have a trusted Oben service centre nearby.

You should wait or consider other options if you need a motorcycle with a longer range, if you do not have access to reliable charging, or if you prefer a more established brand with a wider service network.
