The Renault Duster nameplate, which kick-started the extremely popular compact SUV segment, is set to make its comeback in India on 26 January 2026. In India, it will arrive in its third-generation avatar with an all-new design inside and out, and will be based on the automaker’s CMF-B platform. Once launched, it will rival compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Maruti Grand Vitara.

Exterior

In its latest form, the Renault Duster features a traditional boxy SUV design combined with modern design elements. It comes with LED headlights featuring Y-shaped LED DRLs, along with a rectangular grille that boldly displays the ‘Renault’ wordmark across its length. This SUV also sports a chunky silver-finished air dam that integrates circular fog lights.

While the new Duster gets an all-new dashboard layout and theme, its focus is more on functionality than flair. The AC vents, much like the exterior lighting elements, feature a Y-shaped design theme, while there is a big Duster insignia on the passenger side of the dashboard. The seats are upholstered in black fabric.

Boot Space and Performance

The international-spec Renault Duster comes with a boot carrying capacity which is up to 594 litres, which means is that it is more than enough for your weekand getaways. In South Africa, the Renault Duster comes with 2 powertrain options:

Variants

Renault also offers a 7-seater version of the Duster in international markets, called the Bigster. In India, the Renault Duster is expected to be priced from Rs. 10 Lakh (ex-showroom). It is likely to be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options, along with an optional AWD (all-wheel-drive) drivetrain.
