Renault Kwid Facelift – A Fresh Look for India’s Favorite Budget Hatchback
Renault has launched the updated Kwid facelift in India, giving its popular entry-level hatchback a fresh new look and updated features. The facelift brings cosmetic changes to the exterior, a revamped cabin, and new features to keep the Kwid competitive in the budget segment.

What’s New on the Outside?
The facelifted Kwid gets a redesigned front fascia inspired by Renault’s global design language. Key changes include:
- A restyled grille with chrome accents
- New LED daytime running lights (DRLs) with Y-shaped signature
- Revised front and rear bumpers
- Redesigned tail lamps with LED elements
- New alloy wheel designs
Interior and Feature Upgrades
The cabin receives significant updates to make it feel more premium:
- New dashboard layout with better materials
- Larger touchscreen infotainment system (up to 8 inches)
- Digital instrument cluster
- Improved seating upholstery
- Updated steering wheel design
Powertrain: Same Reliable Engine
Mechanically, the Kwid facelift remains unchanged. It continues with the proven 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 67 bhp and 91 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Price and Positioning
Renault has officially launched the Kwid facelift at a price of ₹4.50 lakh to ₹5.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It continues to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, S-Presso, and Celerio in the entry-level hatchback segment.
