1. Who is it for?

Tata Xpress-T:
The Xpress-T is a commercial vehicle. It is made only for taxi drivers, fleet operators, and business use. It is the electric version of the Tata Tigor, but for commercial purposes only. You need a commercial permit to run it.

Hyundai Aura:
The Aura is a private family car. It is made for normal buyers who need a car for office, school, and weekend trips.

Winner: Clear. Xpress-T for taxi business. Aura for family.


2. Fuel and Running Cost

Tata Xpress-T (Electric):
It runs fully on electricity. The running cost is very low – cheapest per kilometer. It gives a range of 165 km to 213 km on a full charge . Perfect for city taxis. It can fast charge from 0% to 80% in 90-110 minutes .

Hyundai Aura:
It runs on petrol or CNG. The CNG version gives ~20-22 kmpl, which is good. But it is not as cheap as electric. The upfront price of the Aura is much lower than the Xpress-T.

3. Safety

Tata Xpress-T:
The Xpress-T is based on the Tata Tigor platform, which has a 4-star Global NCAP rating . It is a solid, safe car for carrying passengers.

Hyundai Aura:
The Aura has a 2-star Global NCAP rating (old data). It is less safe than the Tata. However, it does come with 6 airbags in many variants now.

4. Speed and Driving

Tata Xpress-T:
As a taxi, its top speed is governed (limited) to 80 km/h . It is not meant for fast highway driving. It is for slow, safe city taxi work.

Hyundai Aura:
The Aura can go over 150 km/h . You can take it on highways for long trips without any problem.

Tata Xpress-T:

Hyundai Aura:
The Aura offers 402 litres in the petrol version. In the CNG version, the tank reduces boot space, but it is still decent.
