Toyota Hiace 7-seater price in India
The Toyota Hiace has been introduced in India at the starting price of Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom). While an official launch is yet to take place, the MPV has been a long time coming, as it has been showcased multiple times in the past. The model being introduced in India is actually the outgoing version, which has been on sale overseas since 2004.

Engine
Powering the large MPV is a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which produces 151 hp and 300 Nm of torque. This engine is similar to the one which powers the Innova and Fortuner, but here it is used in a much lower state of tune. In the Fortuner, it is currently produced with 204 hp and 420 Nm of Torque (500 Nm with the automatic gearbox).
Interior and Features
Th Hiace has been available in GL trim level with the 14-seat configuration – driver, co-driver and 12 passengers. According to the sources, the model will be available only in white and silver exterior paint options, for now. The last row of seats can also be folded to offer the additional boot space.
The interior design is quite simple and utilitarian in its approach. The Hiace does not feature any high-end material or modern styling; instead, it offers ruggedness along with a high level of practicality. There are plenty of storage spaces scattered around the cabin, and the space is well optimised for the passengers.
