The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 got spotted testing abroad, and at first glance, the bike appears to be quite similar to the Triumph Bonneville T100.

The Bonneville 400 can be watched with the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, simple-looking side panels, and long front and rear fenders. All this provides a clean and classic design. The spy shots also reveal a few modern touches like the round LED headlight, LED indicators, and LED taillight.

To keep it similar to the bigger Bonneville models, Triumph has used the simple suspension components. The bike gets the conventional telescopic fork with the fork gaiters and twin rear shock absorbers. This setup should helps for keeping the ride comfortable and costs under control.

The riding posture also looks quite relaxed. The footpegs are centre-seat, and the handlebars are also high. This should make the bike easy to ride in the city and comfortable on longer rides as well. Another detail is a single-sided exhaust, finished in matte black, that adds to the classic Bonneville look.

The engine is expected to be the same 400cc unit seen at the Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the Triumph Thruxton 400. This should produce the same 40 PS and 37 Nm of torque as these bikes. For India, Triumph might use the smaller 350cc engine to keep the price in check, after the GST 2.0 reforms.
