TVS Orbiter V1 launched at Rs. 84,500
TVS has introduced the new variant of Orbiter, dubbed the Orbiter V1. The scooty has been powered with the smaller 1.8 kWh battery, and it is now the most affordable choice in the brand’s EV line-up.

The TVS Orbiter V1 features the 1.8kWh battery pack, which offers an IDC range of 86km. For reference, the original Orbiter – now dubbed the Orbiter V2 – comes with the 3.1kWh battery with the IDC range of 158 km. While the smaller battery pack translates to a lower range figure, which also means charging times have reduced. The 0-80 per cent charge will take a claimed 2 hours and 20 minutes, while the battery on Orbiter V2 will take 4 hours and 10 minutes.
The rest of what Orbiter V1 has to offer seems to consist of Orbiter V2 unchanged. This consists of the 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel setup, LCD cluster that, along with the mobile app, enables turn-by-turn navigation, over updates and safety alerts, includes anti-theft, crash, and geo-fencing notifications.
The TVS Orbiter V1 has been priced at Rs. 84,500 (ex-showroom), but you can have it for as low as Rs. 49,999 if you opt for the BaaS scheme. This makes it about Rs. 15,000 more affordable than the Orbiter V2 priced at Rs. 99,900.
