Ultraviolette Automotive has launched a new entry-level base variant of its X-47 Crossover electric motorcycle. The price is ₹2.49 lakh, ex-showroom. This trim sits right below the ‘Original’ variant. It is ₹15,000 more affordable than before. If you want the distinct performance and styling of the X-47 but do not want to pay extra for advanced radar safety features, this new base variant is for you.

To achieve the lower price point, the base model completely omits the Ultraviolette Hypersense radar safety system. Buyers will miss out on radar-powered rider assistance features like blind-spot detection, rear collision alerts, lane change assist, and overtake warnings. So if you want these advanced safety features, you will need to buy a higher variant.

Despite the tech deletion, the performance and battery metrics remain identical to the higher-spec models. The bike retains the 27 kW electric motor. It generates a claimed 36.2 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. It is packed with the same 7.1 kWh battery pack. This offers an Indian Driving Condition certified range of 211 kilometres. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 145 km/h. The standard tech that stays includes the 5-inch touchscreen display, traction control, dynamic stability control, dual-channel ABS, park assist, and three standard riding modes called Glide, Combat, and Ballistic.

With this addition, the Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover lineup now spans six distinct variants. The new base variant costs ₹2.49 lakh. The Original variant costs ₹2.64 lakh. The Original Plus costs ₹3.09 lakh. The Recon costs ₹3.59 lakh. The Recon Plus costs ₹4.09 lakh. The top Desert Wing edition costs ₹4.59 lakh, ex-showroom.

If you are thinking of buying the Ultraviolette X-47, you should get the new base variant if you want the lowest price of ₹2.49 lakh. You want the same performance and range as the higher models. You do not need the Hypersense radar safety features. You have a tight budget. You should get a higher variant if you want the advanced radar-powered safety features like blind-spot detection and collision alerts. You have a higher budget of up to ₹4.59 lakh.
