Upcoming Jetour T2 SUV Teased by JSW Motors
As it was reported last month, JSW Motors partnered with Chery to bring the Jetour T2 SUV to India by Diwali 2026. The company has officially teased this upcoming plug-in hybrid model for the first time in an advertisement to recruit new dealer partners. The new SUV, which will be JSW Motor’s first offering in India, gets assembled at its upcoming Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar plant in Maharashtra.

The front profile of the upcoming JSW Motors SUV, with the horizontal LED headlight strips within the circular housing, as well as pixel-shaped LED fog lamps, is lit up. The closer look also reveals the upright bonnet and protruding bumper as well as wheel arches, all of which are identical to Jetour T2.
The international-spec Jetour T2 is available in both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and all-electric (EV) versions; the Indian-spec model is expected to be offered with only a hybrid setup. The PHEV version uses the 154hp and 220 Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated with the 26.7kWh battery pack. This is available in the single-motor FWD setup and a dual-motor AWD layout.
JSW Motors is planning to debut the Jetour T2-based SUV by Diwali 2026. The manufacturer is facing slow approvals for importing Chinese components that could delay the SUV’s India launch.
With respect to prices, Sajjan Jindal, the Chairman of JSW Group, commented, “We aim to play in that Rs. 15 to 30 lakh price point,” suggesting it can be a competitor to Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari in India.
