India-spec Nissan Gravite MPV Spotted on Test Ahead of Launch
Nisaan’s upcoming Gravite MPV has been spied testing once again ahead of its global debut next month. It is set to share its underpinnings with the Renault Triber. The Gravite is expected to target the budget end of the mass-market MPV segment, positioning itself as a more affordable alternative to models like of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Kia Carens Clavis. The Nissan Gravite will be the first of three models for the Indian market. The MPV will be followed up by the all-new Tekton compact SUV, which is due in 2026 and a larger three-row SUV due to arrive in 2027.

The spy images confirm various design elements that Nissan recently previewed. Up front, you will get a large cheese grater-style grille flanked by the swept-back projector headlamps with LED eyebrows. The lower down, bumper features the rectangular central air vent with the faux side vents housing fog lamps. The part of the C-shaped trim elements on the bumpers, too, is visible despite the heavy camouflage.

The rear design looks to be in line with the new Triber. The recent preview images also confirmed that the tail lamps too are unchanged from its Renault sibling, which is replete with the LED light guide, though the Gravite does get a more squared out rear bumper to provide it a little more road presence.
Inside, the Gravite is expected to feature a cabin layout similar to the Triber with three rows of seats, including a removable third row and second row that can slide forward and backwards to free up space within the cabin. Nissan is also expected to redesign the Gravite’s dashboard compared to the new Triber, giving the MPV greater individuality.

On the mechanical side, the Gravite is expected to come with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine as the Triber, which produces 71 bhp of power and 96 Nm of torque. Gearbox options are expected to include a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. A CNG option may also be offered.
