The three-door SUV was expected to adopt design cues from the Thar Roxx, which is positioned a rung above, but it didn’t happen. The updated Thar may carry over the current model’s engine option that consists 152hp 2-litre turbo-petrol, 119 hp 1.5-litre diesel as well as 132 hp 2.2-litre diesel, along with their respective gearbox options. The four-wheel drive is likely to remain optional with the petrol engine also being offered as the standard on the more powerful diesel.
