Tata Tiago Facelift 2026 CNG Mileage
The 2026 Tata Tiago facelift iCNG delivers excellent fuel efficiency. The manual variant has an ARAI-certified mileage of 26.49 km per kilogram of CNG. The automatic variant has a segment-leading 28.06 km per kilogram. This is the highest in its class. The automatic is an AMT, which stands for Automated Manual Transmission. It is a first-in-segment feature to have paddle shifters on a CNG car.

Initial real-world fuel economy tests conducted by auto journalists indicate that the actual mileage varies depending on traffic and city layout. In heavy city traffic, you can expect around 17 km per kilogram. On highways, it can push up to 33 km per kilogram. On average, you will get between 20 and 23 km per kilogram in mixed driving conditions.
The manual 5-speed iCNG has an ARAI certification of 26.49 km per kilogram. Real-world range is about 17 km per kilogram in heavy traffic and up to 33 km per kilogram on highways. The automatic AMT iCNG has an ARAI certification of 28.06 km per kilogram. This is the segment leader. The facelift also introduces paddle shifters paired to the CNG AMT gearbox for the first time in the segment. You can change gears manually using paddles behind the steering wheel.
The facelift keeps Tata’s highly praised twin-cylinder packaging. The engine is a 1.2-litre Revotron 3-cylinder unit. It produces 73.5 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque when running on CNG mode. The twin-cylinder advantage is that it uses two smaller 30-litre tanks tucked deep under the boot floor instead of one giant cylinder. This frees up usable storage space in the luggage area. The car also has direct CNG start. You can turn it on and start driving in CNG mode directly without needing to switch from petrol first.
If you are thinking of buying the Tata Tiago iCNG, you should choose the manual if you want the lowest price and you are comfortable with a manual gearbox. You should choose the automatic AMT if you want the convenience of not using a clutch in heavy traffic. The AMT also gives you the best mileage of 28.06 km per kilogram. The paddle shifters allow you to take manual control when you want to. The twin-cylinder design means you still have good boot space even with the CNG tanks. The direct CNG start means you never have to worry about the car switching to petrol mode unexpectedly.
