Rolls-Royce Prepares Heavily Updated Cullinan for Next Generation
After dipping its toes into the EV pool with Spectre, Rolls-Royce is preparing to dive in headfirst. The Spectre, a large, opulent coupe, was an impressive first venture into the world of electric power for the British brand, although it was limited in scope by the number of doors. The Rolls-Royce has been spied testing its second EV, which is a large SUV which could end up serving as a replacement for the Cullinan.

The Ev’s proportions are fairly similar to those of Cullinan, with a long hood as well as a boxy cabin. The front end is upright as well as appears to feature a square headlight beneath LED running lights, which meet the iconic Pantheon grille. The grille, which looks like it may adopt a new look with a couple of thin slots sitting on either side of a flat.
The SUV is slab-sided, and the side windows appear to end just over the rear wheels, leaving a large D-pillar. At the rear, the vertically oriented rectangular taillights mimic those of Cullinan. There is currently very little information with respect to the SUV’s powertrain, although we expect it to follow the Spectra’s lead with the dual-motor setup and over 500 horsepower.
The electric SUV could be revealed before the end of this year, although this may not arrive in the United Sated untile the 2028 model year. As per the initial reports’ suggestion, this SUV would act as the next-generation Cullinan, but while the Spectra has been a relative success for the automaker. We would not be shocked to watch this EV coexist with the current Cullinan, last updated for the 2025 model year, for some time.
