JSW MG Motor India has discreetly introduced the more affordable as well as fleet-oriented version of Windsor EV in India, named the Commute Variant. This has been priced at Rs. 13.49 lakh; it looks to appeal to the commercial customer, taking advantage of the good reception for the nameplate already. Putting into perspective, the Commute variant is around Rs. 61,000 cheaper than the Excite trim.

In Haryana, the on-road cost comes around Rs. 13.93 lakh after adding the TCS of Rs. 13,490, which is an essential kit priced at Rs. 29,835, as well as a nominal fee of Rs. 700 for Fastag.

The consumers can further reduce the initial outlay by opting for the MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (Baas) model that separates from vehicle cost and allows for a lower purchase price with the rental-based battery plan.

As for equipment, this gains manual air conditioning, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, power windows, as well as multiple USB charging ports for both rows. Although the 7-inch digital instrument cluster is retained, the larger 10.1-inch touchscreen seen in the higher variants is omitted inside the cabin.
