Bajaj Avenger 220 Street launch soon
The Avenger lineup has seen several changes over the years, making it a bit hard to keep up with. Bajaj Auto has quietly removed the Avenger 160 Street from the website and added the Avenger 220 Street, signalling the end of the 160 platform in the Avenger range.

The Avenger 220 Street will use the same engine as the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. The 220cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 19 hp at 8,500 rpm and 17.6 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with the 5-speed gearbox. In comparison, the now-discontinued Avenger 160 Street used a 160.4cc single-cylinder motor that produced 15 hp and 13.7 Nm.
Bajaj has updated the website to include the Avenger 220 Street, but pricing has yet to be announced. The bike appears largely unchanged from the model which was on sale earlier. This will be offered in two colours – red & black with predominantly blacked-out components & alloy wheels.
The suspension duties will be handled by the conventional telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers, although the braking is managed by the front disc & rear drum setup with the single-channel ABS, similar to the 220 Cruise.
The pricing for the Avenger 220 Street is yet to be announced, although it is expected to be positioned slightly below the 220 Cruise, which is currently priced at Rs. 1.29 lakh.
