Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra EV is one of the most-awaited electric cars from Tata. It is expected to launch on May 19, 2026. The Sierra EV brings back an iconic name from the 1990s. The original Sierra was a very popular 3-door SUV. The new Sierra EV is a modern electric version of that car. It will be a mid-size electric SUV that sits between the Nexon EV and the Harrier EV in Tata’s lineup. The expected price is between ₹15 lakh and ₹25 lakh.

On the outside, the Sierra EV will look very similar to the regular petrol/diesel Sierra. But it will have EV-specific changes like a closed front grille, connected LED light bar, sleek LED headlamps, and aero-optimised wheels. Inside, it will feature a large 12.3-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Top models may get a triple-screen setup. The Sierra EV will share its battery and motor with the Harrier EV. This means it will get 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery options. It will have both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.

Tata Safari EV

The Tata Safari EV is another big launch. It is expected to launch on May 15, 2026, and will be Tata’s first electric 7-seater SUV. The expected price is between ₹26 lakh and ₹32 lakh. Once launched, the Safari EV will rival the Mahindra XEV 9S. On the outside, the Safari EV will look like the regular Safari but with EV-specific styling. Inside, it will get a more premium colour scheme and higher-quality materials.

It will have both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, along with special off-road terrain modes.

Tiago EV Facelift

Tata is expected to discontinue the smaller 19 kWh battery and make the 24 kWh battery standard. They will also introduce a new larger 30 kWh battery, which could give a range of about 366 km on a single charge. The new battery will use more energy-dense prismatic cells. The facelift will also get a new 6-in-1 motor that produces about 80 to 88 horsepower. Charging speeds will also improve. On the outside, the Tiago EV will get a revised front look, slimmer headlamps, redesigned bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Inside, it will have a larger touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and touch-based AC controls. It may also get a sunroof, wireless charger, rear AC vents, and a 360-degree camera.

Tata Avinya

The Tata Avinya is the most premium electric car from Tata. It is expected to launch on June 15, 2026, with a price range of ₹30 lakh to ₹60 lakh. The Avinya will be sold under a new luxury EV sub-brand called Avinya. The design is completely different from any other Tata. It has a sleek, coupe-like SUV silhouette with T-shaped LED lights. The interior will be very minimalistic and premium, inspired by luxury SUVs like the Range Rover. Features will include Level 2+ ADAS, ventilated and massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera. The Avinya will be built on Tata’s new EMA platform. This platform supports ultra-fast charging and will give a range of up to 500 km with less than 30 minutes of charging time. This will be Tata’s most advanced and luxurious electric car.

In addition to these new models, Tata has already launched a few cars in early 2026. The Harrier EV was launched with prices starting from ₹21.49 lakh. It features a new all-wheel drive dual-motor setup. The Punch EV Facelift was released in February 2026, priced between ₹9.69 lakh and ₹12.59 lakh. It offers a cleaner design and larger battery options. The Tata Curvv EV got new “SeriesX” variants in May 2026, starting at ₹16.99 lakh. Tata also recently added “Ultra” diesel variants for the Harrier and Safari with updated Red Dark Edition interiors.
