2026 Tata Tiago EV Facelift – Interior Revealed Ahead of Launch
Tata Motors has officially revealed the completely redesigned interior of the 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift. The official price announcement is on May 28, 2026. The outgoing model had a strictly budget-conscious look. The updated cabin borrows modern architecture and premium design accents directly from Tata’s higher-end electric vehicle lineup. If you want a small electric car that feels premium inside, the new Tiago EV is worth waiting for.

The old integrated dashboard layout is replaced by a modern, multi-layered horizontal dashboard. This accentuates cabin width, making the interior feel more spacious. There is now a large, tablet-style floating 10.25-inch infotainment screen. It sits prominently on top of the dashboard. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The outdated, basic digital pod is swapped out for a fully digital, free-standing driver’s instrument cluster. It features customized, EV-specific telemetry, battery tracking, and energy regeneration graphics. Both screens are free-floating, which gives a very modern look.
The cabin features far cleaner layout lines and revised switchgear housings. A premium, dial-style gear selector sits flush in the centre console instead of a conventional lever. There are two dedicated, rubberized smartphone charging trays integrated into the lower dashboard tier. This is dual wireless charging pads. Rather than moving everything to sub-menus on the touchscreen, Tata has sensibly retained physical tactile buttons and rotary knobs for the automatic climate control system. This is very good because you can adjust the temperature without taking your eyes off the road. The signature flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel remains. But it now features an offset, illuminated “Tata.ev” logo directly in the hub.
Tata has paid special attention to upgrading the overall ambience and rear-seat utility. For the very first time, the Tiago EV features rear AC vents and dedicated rear USB Type-C fast-charging ports. The inner door armrests are wrapped in a new fabric finish paired with sleek piano-black trim panels housing newly designed power window switches. This design is inspired by the Tata Sierra. Higher variants drop the previous synthetic leatherette material in favour of a light grey and black dual-tone premium fabric upholstery. This change is designed to give the hatchback an airier feel and handle intense Indian summers better.
To give the entry-level EV a massive competitive edge, Tata has confirmed the inclusion of a 360-degree camera setup. Hidden camera pods under the wing mirrors and front bumper enable panoramic visibility. This makes the Tiago EV one of the most affordable cars in the country to boast this technology. The 360-degree camera is a segment-first feature at this price point.
If you are planning to buy the new Tiago EV, you should do so if you want a small electric hatchback with a very modern, premium interior. You want the large 10.25-inch floating touchscreen and the digital driver’s display. You want the convenience of dual wireless charging pads. You want rear AC vents for your passengers. You want the safety and convenience of a 360-degree camera. You have a budget of around ₹8 to ₹10 lakh. You can wait until May 28 for the official price announcement.
You should consider the MG Comet EV if you want an even smaller car for very tight city parking. You should consider the Citroen eC3 if you want a more spacious cabin and a softer suspension. But if you want a premium-feeling interior with a 360-degree camera and rear AC vents, the Tiago EV facelift is a very strong contender.
