Ferrari Luce EV revealed with 530km+ range
Ferrari has officially unveiled its first-ever fully electric vehicle. It is called the Ferrari Luce. The car was revealed in Rome. It is a 1,050 horsepower five-seat grand tourer with a claimed range of over 530 kilometres. The car was developed over five years. The Luce is completely different from traditional Ferrari supercars. It does not have a screaming V12 engine. Instead, it has a quad-motor electric setup. The design is very unusual and minimalist. It was co-created with LoveFrom, the design firm of former Apple design chief Sir Jony Ive. If you want a Ferrari that is silent, powerful, and futuristic, the Luce is unlike anything Ferrari has ever made.

The Luce has four independent electric motors. There is one motor at each wheel. Together, they deliver a combined 1,050 horsepower and 990 Nm of torque. The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The top speed is 310 km/h. The battery pack is 122 kWh. It serves as a structural element within the 800V architecture to maximize vehicle strength. The car supports ultra-fast charging at up to 350 kW. It can recover up to 57 percent of its battery capacity in just 20 minutes. The car also has active suspension derived from the Ferrari F80, four-wheel steering, and precise torque vectoring. This gives it incredible handling and grip.
The exterior design is very unconventional. The body does not have the signature aggressive, long-bonnet styling of traditional Ferraris. Instead, it has a sleek, aerodynamic shell-like glass structure. It achieves the lowest drag coefficient ever recorded for a production Ferrari road car. The car has rear-hinged suicide doors separated by a fixed central pillar. The rear passenger doors can operate independently. The car rides on massive 23-inch front wheels and 24-inch rear wheels.

The interior follows an anti-screen philosophy. Sir Jony Ive heavily limited the use of massive digital screens. Instead, he prioritized physical toggles, analog dials, and physical switches. This keeps the focus entirely on driving. The Luce is the first five-seater in Ferrari’s history. This is possible because there is no bulky engine tunnel or rear gearbox. The gauge cluster is deep and multi-tiered. It uses OLED instrumentation where a physical needle sweeps over digital layers beneath a curved glass piece. The car also has kinetic sound technology. It does not use fake digital engine noises. Instead, it uses specialized accelerometers to capture real physical vibrations from the electric motors. These are then translated into an authentic cabin soundtrack.
Order books for the Luce are officially open globally. The base pricing for the production-run model starts at approximately €550,000. That is about $640,000 US dollars or roughly ₹6.10 crore. Deliveries are expected to begin by early 2027.

If you are thinking of buying the Ferrari Luce, you should do so if you want Ferrari’s first-ever electric car. You want 1,050 horsepower and 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. You want a five-seat grand tourer with a range of over 530 kilometres. You want a minimalist interior with physical switches instead of giant screens. You have a very high budget of over ₹6 crore. You are willing to wait until early 2027 for delivery.
You should consider the Rolls-Royce Spectre if you want a luxury electric coupe with a more traditional luxury interior. You should consider the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT if you want a very fast electric sedan at a lower price point. You should consider the Rimac Nevera if you want the ultimate hypercar performance. But if you want a Ferrari electric car with a unique design and the Prancing Horse badge, the Luce is the only choice.
