Mercedes-Benz is preparing to electrify its highest-selling luxury SUV in India. Mercedes-Benz India has officially confirmed that customer bookings for the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric will commence in October 2026, with first deliveries scheduled ahead of year-end. Built on the brand’s native EV architecture, it brings flagship EQS technology down to a midsize luxury package.

The GLC Electric is powered by a high-density lithium-ion battery pack integrated directly into the chassis floor:

- Drivetrain: Dual-motor 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive delivering 408 hp and 765 Nm of torque.
- Charging Capability: 170 kW DC fast charging replenishing 10% to 80% battery capacity in approximately 31 minutes.
2. MBUX Hyperscreen Integration
Following the flagship S-Class and EQS, the GLC Electric offers an optional full-width curved glass MBUX Hyperscreen spanning across the entire dashboard, integrating AI-assisted zero-layer navigation, passenger media streaming, and augmented reality head-up display.
3. Off-Road Drive Modes & Transparent Bonnet
- Dedicated Off-Road drive mode with AIRMATIC air suspension allowing adjustable ride height for water wading and rocky terrain.
