Ampere has launched its new entry-level electric scooter, the Reo VYB, at an introductory price of ₹69,499 (ex-showroom). This scooter is designed for short daily trips like going to school, running errands, or visiting nearby shops . Its most important feature is that it is a **low-speed vehicle** with a top speed capped at 25 km/h. Because of this, you do not need a driving license, vehicle registration, or insurance to ride it . This makes it very easy for students (aged 16 and above) and senior citizens to own and ride.

The Reo VYB is built for short, everyday commutes. It uses a **1.44 kWh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery**, which is safer and lasts longer than regular lithium-ion batteries .
