Hyundai completes 30 years in India, 26 new products to be get launch by 2030
Here! its 30th anniversary in India on May 6, 2026. On this day, the company announced an aggressive future roadmap. Hyundai plans to launch 26 new products and variants by the financial year 2030. This big expansion is supported by a massive planned investment of ₹45,000 crore between the financial year 2026 and the financial year 2030. Hyundai wants to capture 15 per cent of the domestic market share with this product onslaught.

The 26 new products include a mix of all-new nameplates, next-generation upgrades, and facelifts. Out of these, 20 models will be internal combustion engine and hybrid vehicles. Hyundai will introduce 8 hybrid models, featuring its next-generation 1.6-litre and 2.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid systems. Expected hybrid models include the Creta Hybrid and a flagship Palisade Hybrid by 2028. The company will also enter new segments like MPVs, which are family movers, and off-road SUVs to compete with rivals like the Mahindra Thar. Next-generation versions of the Venue, i20, and Creta are planned, alongside facelifts for the Exter and Verna.
The remaining 6 models will be electric vehicles. The lineup includes the upcoming Creta EV and a new dedicated localized compact SUV EV designed specifically for India. Halo models like the Ioniq 9 three-row electric SUV are also on the roadmap. To support the EV growth, Hyundai will establish a network of over 600 fast chargers across key cities and highways by 2032. The company also aims for deep localization, including local battery cell manufacturing, to make EVs more affordable.
Hyundai will officially introduce its global luxury brand, Genesis, to India by 2027. This will bring ultra-premium cars to the Indian market. Production capacity will also scale up. Annual capacity will reach 10.74 lakh units by 2028 across the Sriperumbudur plant in Chennai and the Talegaon plant in Pune. This will help Hyundai meet the growing demand for its cars.
In its 30-year journey, Hyundai has achieved many milestones. As of May 2026, the company has sold over 13.5 million units in total. This includes 9.6 million units sold in the domestic market and 3.9 million units exported. Hyundai is the largest passenger vehicle exporter in India, serving over 150 countries. The company has a network reach of over 1,500 sales outlets covering 78 percent of Indian districts. In terms of sustainability, Hyundai has achieved 100 percent renewable energy for all its plants and offices under the RE100 initiative.
