This will share the underpinning and powertrains with the Duster, consisting of the 100 HP, 166 nm, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 163 HP, 280 NM with the 1.3 l direct injection turbo petrol choices. Although the 6-speed manual is standard, a more powerful unit is offered with a 6-speed DCT. It remains to be seen whether the Duster’s 160 HP, 172 NM and 1.8 litre strong hybrid petrol engine gets paired with an e-CVT.

Last year, Nissan partially revealed the exterior of Tekton, which looks quite different from the Duster. The front end got inspired by the brand’s flagship Patrol SUV, gets LED headlamps, connected LED daytime running lamps, and a dual-tone bumper.

The side profile is nearly identical to that of the Duster that features flared wheel arches, a black trim at the front doors and rear door handles integrated into the window. The alloy wheels get the unique design and are expected to be 18 inches in size.

With respect to the interior of Nissan Tekton, the cabin layout is expected to be distinct from the Duster, although the feature set can be similar. The Nissan Tekton is expected to be priced similarly to the Duster, which starts from Rs 10.49 lakh, and that can go up to rupees 18.49 lakh for the top variant.
