Skoda Kodiad RS teased, launches on 22 June 2026
Skoda India has officially teased the powerful Kodiaq RS. This is a high-performance SUV that enthusiasts have been waiting for. The company has confirmed that order books will open on 22 June 2026. This is a very special launch for two reasons. First, it is the first time an SUV gets the famous Rally Sport or RS badge in India. Second, this launch celebrates 125 years of Skoda Motorsport and 50 years of the iconic RS badge. So this is a big moment for the brand.

Now let us talk about the limited collector’s edition status. Because the RS badge is very exclusive, Skoda is targeting hardcore enthusiasts with a very restricted release. Only 50 units have been allocated for the entire Indian market in the first batch. That means only 50 people will get this SUV initially. The car will come to India as a completely built unit, or CBU. That means it is fully imported from Europe. The standard 2026 Kodiaq tops out at ₹46.99 lakh. But the performance-oriented Kodiaq RS is expected to cost between ₹55 lakh and ₹60 lakh ex-showroom. So it is significantly more expensive than the regular version.
Next, let us look at the engine and brutal performance. The Kodiaq RS earns its title as the fastest Skoda ever sold in India. It uses a heavily tuned 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. This is the same engine that powered the cult-classic Octavia RS. It produces an impressive 265 hp (which is 261 bhp) and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a slick-shifting 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 4×4 all-wheel drive system. The acceleration is vicious. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. The top speed is 231 km/h. So this SUV is genuinely fast.
Now, let us talk about the RS-specific aesthetic and cabin upgrades. Skoda has replaced the standard luxury chrome styling with an aggressive, stealthy design language. On the outside, the illuminated front grille comes wrapped in a striking gloss black surround. There is a blackout package that includes gloss black treatment for the ORVMs, window frame lines, roof rails, and rear Skoda lettering.
The car sits on large 20-inch alloy wheels paired with high-performance brakes and vibrant red brake calipers. So it looks mean and sporty. On the inside, the cabin is sporty but still practical. The car retains its everyday utility as a spacious 7-seater. So you get performance and space together. The interior features the RS Suedia cockpit theme. This combines perforated suede and premium leatherette upholstery. The front sports seats have integrated headrests. There is a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. And you see bold red contrast stitching throughout the dashboard and door panels. So the cabin feels very race-oriented.
, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is a very special performance SUV. Only 50 units are coming to India. It is fast, powerful, and looks aggressive. Bookings open on 22 June 2026. The expected price is between ₹55 lakh and ₹60 lakh. If you want one, you will have to act very fast because only 50 people will get it.
