Exterior Design Changes

The spy images highlight heavy camouflage concentrated at the front and rear ends, where the biggest visual changes are expected . Key changes include:

*   **Front Fascia**: A redesigned grille with a sharper, flatter slatted look, reminiscent of the Kushaq facelift design language, and updated LED headlights with new internal graphics and boomerang-shaped DRLs .

*   **Bumpers & Lighting**: A revised front bumper featuring a larger lower air dam with a 3D web-like grid, and the likely addition of a connected light strip across the front and an illuminated “SKODA” lettering at the rear .

*   **Rear Profile**: A redesigned rear bumper with slimmer LED taillight housing, and the possibility of a connected taillamp cluster and dynamic turn indicators .

Interior & Technology Upgrades

The latest interior spy photographs offer a glimpse inside the cabin, confirming a dashboard layout similar to the current model, but with some key updates expected :

*   **Dashboard and Displays**: The dashboard retains the signature black-and-beige colour palette and a free-standing central touchscreen, but will likely receive an updated 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Kushaq facelift .

*   **Comfort Enhancements**: New seat upholstery variants and a much-anticipated rear-seat massage function, which was introduced on the Kushaq facelift, are highly likely to be offered .

*   **Other Features**: The facelift is expected to add front parking sensors to the existing equipment list, which includes a single-pane sunroof, wireless charging, an 8-speaker sound system, and automatic climate control with rear vents .

Performance and Transmission

The sedan’s mechanical core remains intact, with one major transmission change expected for the 1.0-litre engine:

*   **1.0-litre TSI Petrol**: The 115hp engine will continue to be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, the current 6-speed torque converter automatic will be replaced by a new 8-speed torque converter unit, a move that mirrors the update introduced on the Kushaq facelift .

*   **1.5-litre TSI Petrol**: The 150hp engine will carry forward with the 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) options .

The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to be launched in India in the fourth quarter of this year, with prices likely to see a slight increase from the current range of ₹10 lakh to ₹18.19 lakh (ex-showroom) . It will continue to compete against the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna .
