New Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift interior features, specifications

Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new Dzire, which is a complete visual and structural overhaul of its popular compact sedan. This new model is a big step forward, featuring a premium new look inside and out, a more efficient engine, and, for the first time ever for a Maruti, a 5-star safety rating. It was launched at an introductory price of ₹6.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

Interior Design and Comfort Features

Step inside the new Dzire, and you’ll find a completely modernised cabin. The dashboard has a new layered design inspired by the Swift and uses a premium dual-tone black and beige colour scheme with faux-wooden inserts. The interior feels much more upmarket than before.

The highlight of the cabin is the new **9-inch floating SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen** infotainment system on higher variants, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is paired with an Arkamys-tuned sound system. For the first time in this segment, the Dzire also gets a **single-pane electric sunroof**, which makes the cabin feel more airy and premium. Other key features include a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a rear centre armrest with cup holders, and USB charging ports for rear passengers.

Segment-Leading Safety

For the first time ever, a Maruti Suzuki car has achieved a **5-star safety rating** from Global NCAP, and the new Dzire is that car . This is a historic achievement for the brand and a major upgrade over the previous model.

This high level of safety is due to a stronger structure and a long list of standard safety features. Every variant of the new Dzire comes with **6 airbags**, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Higher variants also get a segment-first **360-degree surround-view camera** for easy parking and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Technical Specifications

The new Dzire is powered by a new **1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine**. This engine is also used in the new Swift and is known for its excellent fuel efficiency.

It produces **82 PS** of power and **112 Nm** of torque. You can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). The petrol manual version gives a fuel efficiency of **24.79 km/l**, while the AMT version is even more efficient at **25.71 km/l**. There is also a factory-fitted CNG version available, which returns an impressive **33.73 km/kg**.
