The upcoming Tata Tigor facelift

The upcoming Tata Tigor facelift has been revealed through recently leaked design patent images. The updated compact sedan borrows several styling and feature updates from the refreshed Tiago, giving it a much sharper and modern look.

Exterior Changes

The patent sketches show the most significant changes at the front. The Tigor will get a completely new front fascia, very similar to the Tiago facelift. This includes slimmer, more sharply styled headlights and a revised front bumper with a wider air intake. The bumper also seems to have a housing for a front camera, which is likely part of a new 360-degree system.

The side profile mostly carries over the current design, with the major update being a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the facelift gets updated taillights, connected by a black plastic strip across the bootlid, similar to the Tiago. The rear bumper has also been redesigned. The electric version, the Tigor EV, will get its own unique touches like a closed-off grille and specific alloy wheel designs to set it apart.

Interior and Features

While the patent images only show the exterior, the interior is expected to be heavily inspired by the new Tiago as well.

You can expect:

• A new dashboard design with a large, freestanding touchscreen infotainment system.
• A fully digital instrument cluster.
• A new 2-spoke steering wheel.
• Premium features like a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, and a new climate control panel.

Powertrain

Under the hood, there are no major changes expected. The petrol and CNG versions will continue to use the familiar 1.2-litre engine paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The Tigor EV is also expected to carry over the battery and motor options from the Tiago EV.

In short, the Tata Tigor facelift is a significant visual and feature update rather than a mechanical overhaul. It promises a much fresher look and a more modern cabin, inspired by the Tiago. It is expected to be launched by the end of 2026.
