1,001hp Audi Nuvolari revealed as brand’s V8 PHEV halo supercar
Audi has officially unveiled the Audi Nuvolari. This is a limited-run, 1,001 horsepower plug-in hybrid supercar. It stands as the fastest and most powerful road-going production car in the brand’s history. The car was debuted ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Nuvolari acts as an exclusive engineering flagship rather than a direct mass-market successor to the retired Audi R8. If you want the ultimate Audi supercar, the Nuvolari is it.

The vehicle’s hybrid architecture pairs mechanical motorsport elements with immense electrical output. The engine is a high-revving 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that delivers 800 horsepower on its own and revs up to a screaming 10,000 rpm. There are three axial-flux electric motors.
Two power the front axle for precise torque vectoring, and one is integrated into the transmission. They are paired with a 7.3 kWh battery. The car has an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission distributing a combined 1,001 horsepower to all four wheels via a specialized predictive quattro all-wheel drive system. It blasts from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.6 seconds. The 0 to 200 km/h sprint is reached in just 6.8 seconds. The top speed exceeds 350 km/h, which is about 217 mph.

The car serves as a rolling technological showcase for Audi’s high-profile entry into Formula 1. It features a Formula 1-style Drag Reduction System, or DRS, and active aero panels capable of generating over 400 kg of high-speed downforce.
The body is built on a carbon-intensive aluminium Audi Space Frame designed to drop weight while maximizing structural stiffness. The car is finished in the identical ‘Titanium’ exterior paint shade used on Audi’s formal F1 racing car. The interior is designed around a driver-centric cockpit layout. It features a three-spoke steering wheel, an angled infotainment touchscreen slab, and cabin colour accents paying homage to the historic 1930s Auto Union Type C racer.

Production is limited globally to exactly 499 units. The base retail price starts at €600,000, which is approximately $700,000 USD or about ₹6.64 crore. This positions it at a substantial premium over its shared-platform sibling, the Lamborghini Temerario. The official launch schedule targets the first customer deliveries to begin in the first half of 2027.

If you are thinking of buying the Audi Nuvolari, you should do so if you want the fastest and most powerful Audi ever made. You want a limited-production supercar with only 499 units in the world. You want F1 technology like DRS and active aero. You have a very high budget of about ₹6.64 crore. You can wait until the first half of 2027 for deliveries. You should consider the Lamborghini Temerario if you want a similar car from Audi’s sister brand. But if you want the ultimate Audi, the Nuvolari is it.
