2026 Suzuki Across Features, India Launch and What to Expect
Suzuki has pulled the wraps off the new Across plug-in hybrid for Europe, and if the shape looks familiar, it is because it is closely tied to the Toyota RAV4. The SUV continues as part of the Suzuki-Toyota partnership, with the Across using the same plug-in hybrid setup as well as core structure as the RAV4 PHEV. This will sit in the mid-size SUV segment as well as come only with the plug-in hybrid powertrain for European markets.

Design
The design sticks close to the RAV4 but carries the Suzuki identity at both ends. The front gets the Suzuki grille as well as badge, while the headlamp and bumper layout stay in line with the donor SUV. From the side, the stance, roof rails, and wheel design look familiar. At the rear end, Suzuki branding sits at the tailgate, and the overall shape remains unchanged. The size and proportions stay the same, which means it continues as a mid-size SUV with the high seating position as well as with the five-door layout.
Interior

Like the RAV4, there is a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster and physical controls for the key functions. The layout is simple as well as easy to use, and there is seating for five. The rear seats fold to free up more boot space when needed. You also get the hybrid system displays and drive mode controls at the centre console, along with the driver assistance features and smartphone connectivity.
Powertrain
The power comes with a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with the electric motors. The engine itself makes 140 bhp and 226 Nm of torque. The setup sends drive to all four wheels through the electric all-wheel-drive system. The combined output is around 301 bhp, and the e-CVT gearbox handles power delivery. This is the same system used in the Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid, so performance and efficiency figures stay in line with that SUV.
