Tata Sierra EV Launch Planned for Q2 2026
After introducing the Punch EV facelift, Tata Motors is now set to launch Sierra EV by the year’s second quarter acoording to sources. This will be positioned below the Harrier EV, Tata’s current zer-emission flagship. The Sierra EV will roll out the manufacturer’s Sanand factory along with the Sierra ICE, chief commerical officer Vivek Srivasta.

Tata has confirmed the SUV will be offered with the both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setups, making it the second model to do so after the electric Harrier. There is also the possibility that the Sierra EV could use the integrated drive unit similar to Punch EV, where the motor and key ancillaries are packaged into the single housing.

Tata Claims it helps to keep the powertrain more compact and cost-efficient. This could allow the Sierra EV to be priced competitively against the rivals like as Hyundai Creta Electric (Rs 18.02 lakh-24.70 lakh), Maruti e Vitara (Rs. 15.99 lakh – 20.01 lakh), Mahindra BE 6 (Rs. 18.90 lakh – 27.65 lakh) and others.
With the last teaser of production-spec Sierra EV, this will differ vsually from ICE version with the sealed-off front nose finished in body colour as well as mildly revised bumper detailing. The teaser did not reveal much of the cabin, but a 2025 design patent points to layout similar to that of combustion-engined Sierra.
