Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition got launched at Rs. 58.9 Lakh
Mini India has launched the new Cooper S GP-inspired edition at a price of rupees 58.9 lakh, setting aside only 30 units for the market. The pre-booking for the hot hatch, which the brand says is inspired by the Mini GP, has already opened for rupees 1.5 lakh ahead of its launch.

The Cooper S GP Inspired Edition sports a Legend Grey paint job, with the roof and mirror kept finished in ‘Chilli Red’. The front features a JCW-spec bumper and grille with a John Cooper Works emblem. The GP Inspired Edition adds the red JCW-branded widgets to the sides of the bumper.
The sides have the same red and grey Stripe at the bonnet but with GP-inspired lettering. Bringing the touch of exclusivity is the 1 of 30 branding on the C-Pillar. Adding to the distinction are JCW-spec 18-inch alloy wheels with the red centre caps. Alongside, a JCW-spec roof-mounted wing, winglets on the sides and rear. The three modes for the daytime running lamps and LED tail lamps bring a unique welcome and goodbye animation.

The GP Inspired Edition cabin borrows the element from the JCW pack trim. This consists of a dashboard with the black theme and red accents, a JCW-spec steering wheel, and recycled, knitted fabric lining for the dashboard and door panel. The JCW sport seats are finished in Vescin Black with contrasting red stitching and elements.

Under the hood of the GP-inspired edition is a familiar 2.0 L direct injection turbo petrol engine, which powers the Cooper S lineup. The mill produces 204 HP and 300 NM of torque, with the power sent to the front wheels with a 7-speed DCT.
