Ampere electric scooters cross 3 lakh units sales milestone
Greaves Electric Mobility, which owns the Ampere brand, has sold over 3 lakh electric scooters in India. This is a big achievement for the company. As of June 17, 2026, the total number of scooters sold is 3,00,293 units. This makes Ampere the sixth-largest electric two-wheeler brand in the country.

Let us look at how this growth happened. The company had a tough time in 2023 and 2024. Sales fell because government subsidies for electric vehicles were reduced. But things have turned around in 2026. In the first half of this year alone, Ampere sold 38,430 units. That is a 58% growth compared to the same period last year. The last 50,000 scooters were sold in less than eight months. From March 2026, sales have been very strong. The company has had three straight months of selling over 7,000 units. In June 2026, in just the first 17 days, over 5,500 scooters were sold. The company might even cross 10,000 units in a single month for the first time.
What is driving these numbers? Ampere has a clear product lineup. The **Ampere Nexus** is their flagship scooter. It is a family scooter with a top speed of 93 km/h and a range of 136 km. The **Ampere Magnus** is their volume driver. This includes models like the Magnus Neo, Grand, and G Max. The updated Magnus Neo, launched in April 2026, costs around ₹86,000 and comes with a long warranty. The **Ampere Reo** is their budget scooter. The new Reo VYB, launched on June 17, 2026, targets buyers looking for an affordable electric scooter. It offers a real-world range of about 80 km.
To support this growth, Ampere has built a strong network. They have over 500 dealerships across 27 states in India. They also have more than 400 service points for after-sales support. The company is also preparing for an initial public offering, or IPO. This would allow people to invest in the company.
Ampere has crossed a major sales milestone of 3 lakh units. After a couple of difficult years, the company is growing strongly in 2026. A clear product strategy, new launches like the Magnus Neo and Reo VYB, and a strong sales network have helped them achieve this success. They are now the sixth-largest electric two-wheeler brand in India.
