Mini Countryman C Launched at Rs. 47.50 Lakh

Mini has launched the 2026 Countryman C in India at a starting price of ₹47.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a very important launch because it is the first-ever Mini model to be locally assembled in India. It is being made at the BMW Group’s plant in Chennai. This local production helps reduce import taxes, which makes the car more affordable than fully imported models. The car is offered in a single, fully-loaded configuration called the **Countryman C Favoured**.

Now let us talk about the engine and performance. The Countryman C has a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It produces 156 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that sends power to the front wheels. The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds. The top speed is 212 km/h. It also has an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 15.92 km/l. So it is reasonably efficient for a premium SUV.

Next, let us look at the exterior styling. The Countryman C has Mini’s signature design. It features an octagonal front grille, a structural clamshell bonnet, and 19-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels. There is a premium champagne gold accent wrap around the grille and side sills. The pillars and roof are finished in black for a contrasting look. The car has adaptive LED headlamps and distinctive rear LED taillights that mimic the iconic British Union Jack pattern. So it looks stylish and unique.

Now let us step inside the cabin. The dashboard has a massive, round 9.4-inch circular OLED touchscreen display. This runs on the latest Mini OS 9 platform. The car comes loaded with features like a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a head-up display (HUD), and a premium Harman Kardon sound system. The driver seat also has a massage function. For safety and convenience, it has a 360-degree camera, Park Assistant Plus, and Level 1 ADAS. So the cabin is both luxurious and high-tech.

 Mini Countryman C is a stylish, feature-rich premium SUV. It is special because it is the first Mini to be assembled in India, which makes it more affordable.
