Renault Duster 2026 Teaser Drops Nostalgic Return with New Design
Ahead of its reveal on 26 January 2026, the new Renault Duster has been teased once again in India, this time offering glimpses of its exterior design. Although not much is visible, the teaser confirms that the India-spec model will have certain design changes compared to the globally available Duster.

What could be spotted?
The new teaser video shows the Duster under wraps, with the lighting elements visible through the cover. One can easily see the eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) that will also function as turn indicators. The global-spec model gets the Y-shaped units instead.
The teaser also reveals the connected LED taillights linked with the central light bar that is commonly seen on modern SUVs. In contrast, the global-spec model features distinctive Y-shaped wraparound LED taillights. A rear wiper as well as a new Renault logo that has debuted with the Triber can also be seen.
Features
The features offered in the globally available Duster are expected in the upcoming model as well. These also consist of a 7-inch digital driver’s display with a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay connectivity and a wireless phone charger. There may panoramic sunroof also For the safety equipment, it could have 6 airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera with the blind-spot monitor, an electronic parking brake with the auto hold, and a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Expected Powertrain Options
Renault is likely to offer the Duster with the petrol-only powertrain at launch, which includes a 156 hp 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit from the global-spec model. Another could be the Kiger’s 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is for the lower variants of Duster, with a slight bump in power.
As per the sources, Renault has confirmed that the SUV is also set to receive the strong hybrid petrol engine, which we are expecting to be introduced around 12 months after the Duster’s India launch. While there is no confirmation yet on the hybrid powertrain which will be offered in India, the Duster sold overseas consists of 149 hp with 1.6-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine options.
