2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F launched at Rs. 1.36 Lakh

Bajaj has launched the 2026 Pulsar 220F in India at a price of ₹1.36 lakh (ex-showroom). This update brings a long-awaited full-LED lighting overhaul to the legendary semi-faired sports commuter. The new model costs about ₹8,000 more than the previous version that was launched in December 2025. This is a significant update because it is the first real design change the motorcycle has received in almost two decades.

Let us first look at the key updates. The biggest change is the new full-LED headlamp unit. It features a single-pod LED projector headlight that houses both low and high beams. This replaces the old stacked halogen setup that the bike had for years. The headlight is flanked by redesigned, sharper LED position lights that look like eyebrows. These are the daytime running lights, or DRLs. The bike also gets a revised colour palette. You can now choose from four colours: Black Gold, Black Cherry Red, Black Ink Blue, and Black Copper Beige. The previous Green Light Copper shade has been discontinued. The bike retains its Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster, which offers turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone notifications. It also has an integrated USB charging port. So the tech features are modern and useful.

Now let us talk about the mechanical specifications. Apart from the updated front look and lighting, the core of the motorcycle remains unchanged. The engine is the same 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled DTS-i unit. It produces 20.4 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 18.55 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The gearbox is a standard 5-speed manual unit. The cycle parts also remain the same. It has traditional telescopic front forks, twin Nitrox rear shock absorbers, dual disc brakes, and single-channel ABS. The fuel tank capacity is 15 litres, and the bike weighs 160 kg. So it is still the same reliable and powerful machine that enthusiasts love.

The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a welcome update to a legendary motorcycle. The new full-LED headlight gives it a modern look and better illumination. The price has gone up by ₹8,000 to ₹1.36 lakh. The engine and other mechanical parts remain unchanged. This update keeps the Pulsar 220F relevant in the market, especially for those who love its iconic design and performance.
